Together We Rise Benefit Concert at Fargo VFW

March 31, 2012 at 9pm to April 1, 2012 at 2am
Foster children spend their young lives traveling from house to house, only wanting to find a place to call home. A West coast based nonprofit made up of young volunteers called Together We Rise (TWR) has found a way to give foster children a more comfortable lifestyle. TWR has a goal to improve the lives of foster children in America, and with a foundation of welcoming volunteers, they have had the ability to give kids a sense of normalcy. TWR hosts fundraisers to raise awareness and money towards foster children. With the money raised, volunteers help build bikes, provide duffle bags and educate foster children to increase graduation rates. This nonprofit has a goal to be known throughout the U.S. TWR is reaching the Midwest and will be hosting a fundraiser in the Fargo-Moorhead area on March 31. The Fargo Force announce the 2012 Skills Challenge, presented by Little Caesars, which will be held on Sunday, March 4 at 4:00 PM at Scheels Arena. The Skills Challenge is FREE to the public and is the first event of its kind for the team in their four years as a franchise. All American Girl Tea Party Hosted by Altrusa International of Fargo at Faith United Methodist Church

Altrusa International of Fargo is hosting their first annual "All American Girl Tea Party" on April 21st from 2-4 p.m. to raise awareness and funds for our literacy projects in Bolivia and Africa as well as our local community reading programs. Girls, moms, grandmothers, aunts, sisters and friends (and of course your dolls) are all invited. We will enjoy tea party sandwiches, fruit, cupcakes and tea (or pink lemonade).
